Leah Kosh
(American, born 1937)

Location: Lydia Hawk Elementary, Lacey

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Holy Moly is part of a series titled "Celebration" by Leah Kosh. She created the composition by layering central drawings with stenciled images of birds, fish, and flowers. She then painted in layers until satisfied with the composition as a whole. She notes, "The series speaks to the enormous and exuberant diversity in nature and celebrates the beauty in all of it."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
