ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Jackie Hunsaker created Mother of All using vine and compressed charcoal, as well as black, white, and gray oil pastels. Animal images from "Natural History" magazine, as well as walks around Green Lake in Seattle inspired her figures. She describes this drawing as "a rather unlikely combination of wild and domestic animals meeting at watering hole with a goddess who protects. I like how all of the animals are peaceful together. They seem to be posing for a family portrait."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
