Pig with Bathtub, 1979

Carlos Vigil
(American, born 1935, died 2010)

Location: Dayton Elementary School, Dayton

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist Carlos Vigil created the painting Pig with Bathtub to celebrate an animal that we often take for granted. He states, "The actions and characteristics of pigs sometimes resemble those of humans. They are very intelligent. They are good-humored and shy… If you receive even a little joy from looking at this pig then my purpose is accomplished."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Grand Coulee Dam School District.
