ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Salmon I is part of artist Bruce Amstutz's series of charcoal drawings of salmon. He notes, "Movement through water and from light into darkness concerned me more than the physical description of salmon in this series. Dark compressed charcoal, worked and reworked, seemed in keeping with the mood of this image."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Federal Way School District and Mount Vernon School District.
