Two Yellow Geese, 1981
Adrienne Salinger
(American, born 1956)
Location: Lakes Elementary School, Lacey
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Two Yellow Geese is a photograph captured by artist Adrienne Salinger while travelling in New Mexico. She notes, "I was walking at night through the streets of Santa Fe and I saw the geese on the third floor of an apartment building. I thought they looked so majestic and humorous glowing in the darkness that I made the photograph. Because the only available light came from a street lamp nearby, the exposure was a full minute."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
