(American, born 1948, died 2017)
Location: Green Hill School, Chehalis
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Susan MacLeod created the fun and playful sculptural painting Dixie Dancing . The same figure repeated in different poses makes up the composition. This creates a dynamic visual representation of movement and dancing. She sewed the figures between layers of plastic and stuffed them with batting to make the artwork three-dimensional.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Social and Health Services.
