ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Dancing Colors is a hand-stitched and stretched quilt by textile artist Suzi Hokonson. The composition was created by piecing together twelve colors using an off-centered log cabin technique to convey a sense of rhythm and movement.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bremerton School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Suzi Hokonson is a Spokane, Eastern Washington-based textile artist who creates quilts that explore color relationships and geometric forms.
Hokonson is a graduate of Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington. She is a quilt historian, teacher, and lecturer.
