ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Relationships I is a drawing by artist Carolyn Law. The three images symbolize how we form and sustain our community. She composed each image on musical notation paper, floating independently on a sea of blue. She prompts the viewer to think about how words, touch and connection are essential for human relationships. She asks, "As the world gets smaller and more populated, how will people get along?"
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Vancouver School District.
