ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Color Wheel is a hand-stitched and stretched quilt by textile artist Suzi Hokonson. The composition features eighteen different colored fabrics, organized chromatically to create overlapping circles that represent the color spectrum.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Kitsap School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Suzi Hokonson is a Spokane, Eastern Washington-based textile artist who creates quilts that explore color relationships and geometric forms.
Hokonson is a graduate of Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington. She is a quilt historian, teacher, and lecturer.
