Salmon is part of artist Bruce Amstutz's series of charcoal drawings that depict the movement of salmon and the interplay of light and darkness through water.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lake Washington School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bruce Amstutz creates gestural landscape and figurative works on paper in an expressive style. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees in drawing and painting from the University of Washington in Seattle. He taught art at Shoreline Community College for many years.
