'Airplane Ride' is a humorous print created by artist Mark Bulwinkle. The composition features different characters and animals with various moods and expressions. This piece is part of a group of prints inspired by a much-needed vacation the artist took to Oregon.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mark Bulwinkle creates prints, paintings, and ironworks. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1974. In addition to his artistic practice, he works as a welder.
