ABOUT THE ARTIST
Walla Walla-based artist and professor Thomas Emmerson creates sculpture, drawings, and paintings.
Emmerson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Walla Walla College, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts from the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, California. He began teaching at Walla Walla College in 1974, and became chair of the Art Department in 1983. He retired in 2015 and continues to work and live in Southeastern Washington.
