ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Grid Series #30 is part of a body of works by artist Greg Kucera. He created the composition by spattering, stippling, and brushing on paint in layers over taped grids. His experience in cities inspired the series. He notes, "This series of paintings is reflective of my feelings for urban situations. Abstractions of street patterns, building profiles and elevations, the way that sidewalks are fragmented, the kind of light and atmosphere that surround me at various times."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lakewood School District.
