ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sagebrush Landscape is part of artist Cynthia Krieble's body of impressionistic paintings that use bright colors and gestural brush strokes to depict the landscape of Central Washington. Describing her process of creating this painting, she notes "I painted the subject on location and, as in all of my work, the process was an intuitive response in brushstrokes to form, color, pattern, and light."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Central Washington University.

Krieble is Professor Emeritus at Central Washington University, where she taught painting and drawing for over twenty years.
