ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shani Marchant is a Spokane, Washington-based artist who creates expressive paintings and drawings that explore both figuration and abstraction.
Marchant received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Fort George Wright College (currently Spokane Falls Community College) in Spokane. She continued her studies in New York City at the Art Students League and Hunter College. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Marchant has taught art at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and at Spokane Falls Community College.
