ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Jeannette Meyer created the quilt Talisman for Return during a teaching residency in Maine. She created it as an object to express her promise to return to that beautiful location. The hand-dyed fabrics depict an autumn landscape, including vibrant red fields, colorful sky, and a large door.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Ferndale School District.

Oregon-based artist Jeannette Meyer creates conceptually expressive fine art quilts. Exhibiting her work nationally and overseas, Meyer also teaches and writes about surface design and art quilt design.
