ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This facade to the entrance of Rainer View elementary is part of artist Timothy Siciliano's site-specific installation titled 'Balancing the Universe.' This piece is comprised of brightly colored steel. It serves as a beacon to the entrance of the school. The installation as a whole is inspired by carnival motifs. Executed with joyful whimsy, this piece seeks to capture a child's sense of awe. The artist notes, "Before children lose their willingness to believe in the unbelievable the acrobats of the Universe will guide and protect them on the journey to their future."
