Connie Ritchie composed and hand-painted Untitled #2 as an exploration of the relationship between nature and science, juxtaposing common objects of measurement against the intricate patterns found in sunflowers and bird feathers.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kent School District.

Northwest artist Connie Ritchie creates hand-painted, still-life photographs that explore themes of life and death, identity, and nature. She received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Commercial Photography from Seattle Central College.
