(American, born 1932, died 2003)
Location: Trout Lake School, Trout Lake
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Cranberry is an enamel painting by artist Jerry Scheideman. He created the composition by firing the enamel in layers to build depth of color. He notes that his artistic training and choices center on "the abstract expressive quality of art… the dynamic quality of push and pull within an art work remains important to me to this day. I have always liked round shapes, circles, and elongated circles, which at times can be seen as leaves."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Trout Lake School District.
