ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Ann Gardner creates artworks in print and glass to explore the patterns found in everyday objects common to our daily lives. Floating is part of a group of collages featuring printed shapes created from stencils. She notes, "I cut them up and 'quilt' them back together, honoring both the patterning and quilting found in ours and many other cultures."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Highline School District.
