ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sunset, Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound is a vibrantly colored painting composed with bold, intersecting geometric forms. This piece is an example of artist John Moilanen's landscape paintings which he notes "recast of perception of the present and past history of the Pacific Northwest through a fusion of abstraction and expressionism which reflects our unique local landscape character."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Puyallup School District.
