ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Eastern Washington-based artist Tom McClelland addresses the metaphor of life as a puzzle, by depicting two figures holding large puzzle pieces with the words ‘career,' ‘community,' and ‘dream.'
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with University Place School Distict.

Washington artist Tom McClelland creates public artworks in a variety of mediums.
McClelland received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Northwestern Washington. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington.
