ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sky of Hope, Lake of Dreams is an installation comprised of nine stained glass windows created by artist Dana Boussard for Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Central Washington. The abstracted, flowing composition suggests water and the nearby lake and dam. It features images of birds, flowers, and other natural elements. Boussard began the design using a detailed scale drawing, which she used to trace each window. She pieced together the colorful and textured glass pieces using copper and lead.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Big Bend Community College.
