ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Rock and Sand Spit was taken by photographer Carolyn D. Hoffman on the shores of Lake Powell in Utah. This image was processed to increase the detail of shadowed areas. This technique highlights the subtle textures of the natural landscape.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Stanwood School District.
