ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Little King of Black and White Dogs is a collage created by artist Scott Aho. It is part of his body of work focused on children and dogs as his main subjects. He notes, "I see this particular work as possibly an illustration for a children's fairy tale similar maybe to 'The Little Prince.' It's a story for me of a little boy who somehow becomes king of all the black and white dogs in the world. King, yes - but a very benevolent king."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Eastern Washington University.
