ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'Girl in a Daffodil Field' is a hand-painted photograph by artist Patricia Ridenour. The image was captured in the spring in the Skagit Valley, when the tulip and daffodil fields bloom. She notes, "Over the many years I have tried to encapsulate the feeling of awe I experience with in the Skagit. It has taken me years to finally get the potent power to come through in a photograph. My wish is that this experience gets translated to the viewer."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Nine Mile Falls School District.
