ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Guess What is an abstract painting created by artist Rebecca Fletcher. She notes, "The world is a raw and continuous marvel before which I stand ever in wonder. How glad I am to have been given the means thus far to try and meet that wonder with a brush."
Curator Kathleen Garrett selected this artwork as part of a curated collection for Peninsula College in Port Angeles. The artworks installed in Keegan Hall reflect the Pacific Northwest and the many subjects taught in the building. These include Aquaculture, Physics, Biology, and Information Technology.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Peninsula College.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Skagit Valley, Western Washington-based artist Rebecca Fletcher creates oil paintings. She says, “The world is a raw and continuous marvel before which I stand ever in wonder.” Her paintings show the form and color of the world.
Fletcher majored in Illustration at the Art Institute of Boston, Massachusetts.
