ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Lake Union #4, Seattle, WA is from artist Carla Fraga's 'Water' series of twenty color photographs. The series shows bodies of water in urban areas. She took this image on a late summer evening as the sun set over Lake Union. She states that urban bays and lakes can serve as meditative spaces that "provide a sense of expansiveness otherwise lost in a world crowded with thoughts, people, and buildings."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Peninsula School District.
