ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Morgan Brig's copper and glass-enamel sculpture No Risk No Glory explores how risk and chance are necessary parts of the artistic process and can lead to growth and self-realization. The human figure is patterned with different icons and symbols, and the artist notes that "the Queen of Hearts represents the inner-most true self. She holds a paintbrush and a hammer, symbols of the process of the artist's work."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
