Wonderful and Strange: Twin Peaks and the Pacific Northwest

Did you know that anyone can submit ideas for a web exhibition on My Public Art Portal?

To highlight this fun, versatile resource, ArtsWA staff put together an exhibition featuring artworks in Washington's State Art Collection that resonate with themes from the cult TV series ‘Twin Peaks’. The show’s visual imagery and symbolism are connected to many facets of the Pacific Northwest’s creative and spiritual identity. Created between 1976 and 2016, we are pleased to present this diverse selection of artworks in homage to the mystery, transcendence, and beauty of the Northwest.

Contact collections@arts.wa.gov to start creating your own web exhibition.

“I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.” –Agent Dale Cooper, ‘Twin Peaks’.
