Artist Larry Shlim's photograph Montmartre, Paris 1977 captures two hands outstretched to feed pigeons. His composition features the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica, located at the highest point in Paris.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Corrections.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist Lawrence "Larry" Shlim is a Portland, Oregon-based photographer. He creates documentary and landscape images that capture his world travels. Born in Portland, Oregon, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in 1976.
