ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Two Pairs is a print by artist Robert Ecker. It is part of his "Thirty Mezzotints" series, created in Boulder, Colorado between 1978 and 1982. This simple, realistic still life of pears captures rich contrast and a wide range of values.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Social and Health Services.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist Robert Ecker creates still-life and landscape paintings and prints that explore formal relationships and symbolism with rich detail and subtle wit. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University. He taught art at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1972 to 2001.
