ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Part of a series of artworks in wood, artist Peggy Hitchcock's Seed is comprised of screenprinted wood panels, with imagery sourced from photocopies. This work investigates a distortion of scale while combining familiar and abstracted images. Hitchcock organizes and assembles multiple panels featuring different imagery into what she terms a "constellation."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Seattle School District.
