(American, born 1933, died 2015)
Location: South Puget Sound Community College, Olympia
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This large scale steel sculpture is part of late artist Ted Jonsson's body of abstract sculptures that investigate geometric forms. This trapezoid shape is composed of skewed angles and explores concepts of illusion, balance, and perspective. Jonsson notes that the basis of his work is "using less to achieve more, a refined simplicity of form devoid of ambiguity."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with South Puget Sound Community College.
