ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Patrick Anderson created Still Life: Landscape in Baroque Manner to emphasize a dramatic contrast of light and dark and the appearance of spatial depth. This artistic technique, called "chiaroscuro" was utilized during the Baroque period of art, and achieves a sense of realism and unity among the elements of the composition.
