ABOUT THE ARTWORK
‘Experience the World Through Your Senses’ is a series of 18 hand-painted photographs by artist Connie Ritchie. The series celebrates how our five senses (sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch) unify us all and connect our experiences to our memories, imagination, sense of place, and community. 'Faces' highlights the emotion and personality we can see in each other's facial expressions. This artwork is installed beside four other photographs representing the sensation of sight.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Yakima School District.
