ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Green House is an abstract painting by artist Robin Wassong. The composition features vibrant colors, familiar forms, and landscape elements. Wassong notes, “My paintings are a tribute to and celebration of imagination and the life force. I am intrigued by the geometry of everyday objects acting as a vehicle for escape into fantasy…The canvas becomes a window to another world.”

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Seattle School District.

Bellingham, Washington-based artist Robin Wassong creates abstract oil paintings. Her imaginative artworks reference landscapes and familiar structures, and feature dynamic colors and forms. She studied painting at the Kansas City Art Institute in Missouri.
