ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Meta-Stable is an abstract painting by artist Mark Meyer that uses bright shapes and distinct lines to explore themes of fragmentation and change. The title references the Greek word "Meta" which means between, and the composition hints at human features to investigate what the artist calls "the process by which personalities, faces, characters, and bodies are continually in transition and are constantly changing from one form to another."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Puyallup School District.
