Untitled #6 is part of a body of photographs by artist James Lommasson. These images explore rich color relationships. They highlight the interplay of light and shadow in urban landscapes. Captured at twilight, the compositions are meditative and mysterious.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Veterans Affairs.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
James Lommasson is a Portland, Oregon-based photographer, author, and teacher. He is a recipient of the Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor prize from the Center for Documentary Studies and Duke University. His works explore thematic concepts and documentary subjects. He received a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Portland State University. He has taught photography at several colleges and universities in Oregon state.
