ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Open Blue Boat is an oil painting by artist Jeffrey Keith. He created the composition by layering up color and paint using a large palette knife. Keith notes that this piece explores two main ideas. The first is "travel as experience and indeed a metaphor for our complete life line." He describes the second as "emotional openness, even vulnerability."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Eatonville School District.
