ABOUT THE ARTWORK
By Jim Parrots is a humorous woodblock print created by artist Mark Bulwinkle. It features many stylized animal figures surrounding howling dog. This piece is part of his book of prints titled "What I Saw On My Summer Vacation in Oregon," published in 1985. The book chronicles a rafting trip he took on the Rogue River.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mark Bulwinkle creates prints, paintings, and ironworks. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1974. In addition to his artistic practice, he works as a welder.
