ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Space Planes is an energetic abstract drawing by artist Ed Praczukowski. It is part of his investigation into space and the universe. He composed this piece by layering short strokes of pastel in many colors to make different geometric forms. He calls this style "cosmic impressionism." He notes, "All things are made up of particles of energy that are hyper active in a flux state and not as solid and passive as they appear."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
