ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Moon Landing is part of artist Margi Beyer's group of drawings created in a single day. This piece plays with layers of patterns in a fantasy scene. She notes, "These drawings are all instinctive, imaginative, and colorful. A lot have animals and human figures in them."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Issaquah School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Seattle-based artist Margi Beyers (1940-2023) created drawings and ceramic artworks. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington in Seattle.
