(American, born 1957)
Location: Pacific Cascade Middle School, Issaquah
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
To create The House Special, Please artist Harlow Morgan combined monotype printmaking with painted elements. This piece is part of her body of figurative artworks she terms “compassionate realism.” She notes, “As I work, I often experience personalities and stories taking form. It's as if there is a dialogue, a history, unfolding before me as I paint.” Monotypes are unique prints created by painting inks directly onto a printing plate.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Issaquah School District.
