ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Bee Dee is an energetic abstract painting by artist Jack Portland. The composition features overlapping, surreal forms in bright patterns. He notes, "The images in my work come from a mixture of forms that I see and forms that I imagine. I incorporate texture and patterns that give new meaning or emphasis into these forms. The images I create are about fantasy and the release that fantasy gives."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma School District.
