ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Heaven Sent is a painting by artist Jo Fyfe. The circle image represents the circle of life. This piece honors the artist’s father, who was battling cancer at the time it was painted. She notes, “My father was very strong and had a strong spirit. He loved his family and in spite of his pain, he wanted to stay with us…We are a spiritual family. There is life in all things, memories do not die. Dad’s spirit is still with us. Life is a process, art is a process.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Spokane School District.
