ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Gerry Newcomb's Industrial Light is part of a body of work that manipulates and reconstructs architectural elements to inspire new insights and perspectives into our man-made environment. Activated by reflected and artificial light, this piece invites the viewer to explore their unique perceptions of form and surface.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Renton School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Northwest glass artist Gerry Newcomb uses kiln-cast glass to create complex wall sculptures, architectural panels, tables, and light fixtures. His artworks invite the viewer's energetic interaction while playing with form, light, and texture.
