Inspired by the natural landscape, artist Allan Stephenson used oil pastel to explore color relationships in his richly detailed Poppy Field No. 1 . This scene was captured by the artist on a visit to England, where he was born and spent his early life.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Mount Baker School District.
