ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Celebration: Olympia High School 2000 is a three-part mural created by artist Terry Furchgott in conjunction with Olympia High School's remodeling in 2000. The mural shows the spirit of Olympia High's students and faculty in past, present, and future settings.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Olympia School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Terry Furchgott creates richly colorful figurative paintings, murals, and installations that explore the dynamics of human relationships and communities.
Furchgott received an honors degree in art history from Radcliffe College, Harvard University in Massachusetts, and studied at Camden Arts Center in London, England.
