ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Cup and Saucer #10 is a colorful ceramic piece created by artist Anne Smith. She notes that images and patterns in her glazing are often "drawn from painting, primitive and folk art, and tropical fish... I am interested in creating accessible objects which speak of tactile qualities, personal imagery and visual presence."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Auburn School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Massachusetts-based artist Anne Smith creates fine art ceramics. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramic from Boston University in 1980.
